Stories of Resilience

Resilient Hobart Flood Recovery

In May 2018, a severe storm caused flooding in and around Hobart, Tasmania.

Between February and May 2019, story producer Helene Thomas and photographer Eddie Safarik interviewed community members across the Hobart region who were affected by the May 2018 extreme weather event.

Their stories were developed into an audiovisual collection of podcasts, images and a documentary video and can be accessed from the Stories of Resilience website.

Stories of Resilience is part of a suite of Resilient Hobart projects that aim to assist May 2018 flood-affected communities with their journeys to recovery and with responding to future emergencies and disaster events.
